mac database to accept ms access

I have transferred from a PC running MS Windows 7 to an iMac and want a database capable of running access files.

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS High Sierra (10.13)

Thank you very much for your reply. I am sure that for a high end user filemaker is a very good database capable of solving complex database problems. However, for a minor user like myself, it is very expensive. I am a little disappointed that Apple do not have a much less expensive database for low end users. I hear so much that Apple is so much better than Microsoft, and in many cases I would agree eg Numbers is as good as Excel if not better. However Excel does have a degree of databasing within Excel. Is it possible that some software company has a much less expensive database. If can you recommend one.
