iPhone X: How To Force Quit All Open Apps At Once?

On iOS devices with a Home button, one can force quit all open apps and background processes by pressing Sleep/Wake until ‘Slide to Power Off’ appears, then pressing and holding the Home button until the screen flashes once. Previously open Apps will still show in the app switcher, but will restart from scratch when selected there or from the Springboard.

As the iPhone X lacks a Home button, I tried using the Home gesture of swiping up from the bottom, but it has no effect.

Anyone know the new (apparently secret) gesture or button combo for iPhone X?

And please, no lectures or questions about the evils of force quitting apps; it’s a useful troubleshooting tool, not a religion; if it served no purpose the procedures wouldn’t exist.
