UserEventAgent is eating all my CPU and RAM

Hi, I've been searching the forums for an answer, but none have helped me. I'm on OS 11.13.1 and every time I start my iMac, I get a UserEventAgent process that I cannot force quit, and which uses about 100% CPU and eats all my RAM (40 GB worth).

I've tried quitting startup items, and scanned for viruses, but nothing. It's just cranking away and makes my shiny new iMac almost useless 😟 .

Any recommendations on how to KILL this process would be lovely. Thanks.
