Family Sharing & Contacts

I recently created a "childs account" under Family Sharing for my 10 yr. old becuase when we gave him my old iphone and after reseting it he ended up with all my contacts and pictures. Now that we have created his own account, he still has all my contacts. When I try deleting a contact from his phone, it deletes the contact from my phone. Any suggestions?
