final cut pro. 10.3.4,,music,will,not,play

imported music files from imac to final cut pro

selected 1 file and copyed it to the music line

played file by tapping space bar

no music, no sound .

before 10.3.4, this was not a problem.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.1)

Sorry that I sent you misinformation.

I got totally confused in my rush to get my project finished.

What you see is where I finished. The problems started here..


I hope this information is what you and Tom were looking for.


I did not do the update to the audio files that Apple recommended.


That may or may not be the problem. To finish my project, I must finish the installing of Music...

Do you see a waveform in the timeline?


Tell us more about the file. What type of audio is this (wav,m4a,mp3,....?)

Does it play correctly in the Finder?

1) Why on earth would you want to name an audio role like that? What are you trying to achieve with an audio role named after a long url?


Roles should have meaningful names (like "Music", "Dialog" and "Effects").

I would not even think of creating any new audio roles myself, but rather making subroles where appropriate.



2) What has that got to do with the original problem (for which, judging from your last screenshot, I already gave you the right solution)?
