I want a trusted app to find Duplicate Files and Folders on a imac there's so many out there, I would like some information on this question.
Running OS High Sierra

Singlemizer says 10.9 & apps are normally 'forward compatible' from that OS so I assume it does work but have not tried it.
Look in the Mac App store - if the app does not appear it is not supported on your OS. The App Store also lists the supported spec in the sidebar. NOTE: the store version is not free so grab it from their site if you need a free test.

No idea if it either is the best but these are worth trying…

Whatever you decide have a backup first & avoid removing anything that is within a library, such as Photos, iTunes media etc.
Not sure it's the best but I'm really pleased with Duplicate File Finder from the App Store.
I think it's free and then costs less than a fancy coffee if you want to use after a certain time (can't tell because App store won't show price of stuff already on your machine!).
Hi Drew, I tried Singlemizer it works fine, found duplicates 803MB but can't delete them unless you buy app. So I purchased it and deleted them. Thanks for recommending it and your help, didn't know about it at all, so now I can keep a track on duplicate files now.
