HP Monitor - Mac Mini

Ever since I hooked up a HP 27er LED monitor with my Mac mini, the color randomly fades out to almost to pastel hues. I have to turn the monitor on/off to get the color back to normal. I understand this is likely a driver issue but I can't find downloads (or they don't exist). Any other options?

Mac mini, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)

Reset the Mac Mini's NVRAM, as per > How to reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Re-check the monitor settings.

Try another HDMI cable.
