Screen Recording error on iOS 11.2: mediaservices failure

iOS 11.2 (15C114)

Screen recording has suddenly stopped working for me. I used it earlier today without issue. I have over 155 gigs of free space on my iPhone X and I've tried restarting the device. Has anyone else seen this issue or found a workaround? I haven't been able to find anything on google or stackoverflow.

I have a brand new iphone X and I had to record the screen to demonstrate how Airdrop was not working, and I had the same error. I wonder if the screen recording and Airdrop failure are linked. Still waiting to hear back from Apple.

It has been happening to me also. And I’m On An IPhone 7. It is VERY wierd and I need it to be fixed soon so I can record for my Channel

The issue resolved itself and I'm able to screen record again. Sorry I can't provide a better solution besides "wait," but that's what worked for me. I haven't experienced this issue since.
