I have lost keychain access

Hello, I have lost access to all of the passwords saved for sites on my MacBook. I still have them on my iPhone.

What has been turned off during an upgrade?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.0.2

Greetings tom6562,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you have lost access to saved passwords for sites on your MacBook. It's important to make sure that you have your password information on all devices, so I'll be happy to help assist you with this.

I suggest following the steps in this support article: Get help with iCloud Keychain , specifically:

If you can't sync iCloud Keychain with other devices

Make sure that your device is on a Wi-Fi or cellular network. If the connection appears strong, try these steps:

  1. Turn off iCloud Keychain on all devices.
  2. Turn on iCloud Keychain on the device that has the most up-to-date keychain items.
  3. Turn on iCloud Keychain on your other devices. They will be updated with your new iCloud Keychain.

If you can't view the passwords stored in iCloud Keychain

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 9 or later:

  1. Tap Settings > Safari > Passwords.
  2. Use Touch ID or enter your device passcode.
  3. Tap a website to view your password.

On your Mac with OS X Mavericks 10.9 or later:

  1. Choose Safari > Preferences, then click Passwords.
  2. Select a website to view your password.
  3. Select Show passwords for selected websites at the bottom of the window.
  4. Enter your Mac password.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards.
