iphone 6 / iOS 11.2 / spinning wheel every 35 seconds or so

My iphone6 has started to do this from 12th December:

Screen turns black after about 35 seconds of screen turned on
Spinning wheel appears for about 7-8 seconds
Screen goes dark momentarily
Screen returns to lock screen displaying time
Screen turns dark after 3 seconds
This will occur even when I am actively using an app, eg. a game.

Configuration is:

iphone 6
IOS 11.2 (15B202) - updated probably a week ago when it was released
Auto-Lock set to Never
Tried reboot (exit all apps, power down and restart)
Tried hard reset (exit all apps, Home + Lock)

Suggestions, anyone, please ?

I saw another iOS 11.2 update in the Settings->General->Software Update page and did the update.

It seems to have solved the problem.

The Software is now at 11.2 (15C114).
