Amazon prime will not install on 3rd gen apple TV

My 3rd generation apple TV will not install the new Amazon Prime App. It just hangs there stating it is loading....for the last three days. It also will not let me delete it.

Hi, I have the black remote. The first version of the new apple tv. I have restarted it several times. That does nothing. I have a second apple tv in my bedroom and that one works fine. It installed and I just had to sign into Amazon and it worked. I just checked the install and it is still saying it is loading but it is really just sitting there. Any other idea to try?

Hi,

If I do a restore does that mean it will loose everything and bring it back as if it was a new apple tv?

Hi. Do you actually have Apple TV 3 (silver remote), or Apple TV 4 (black remote)?

Have you tried restarting Apple TV?

That is a 4th gen. You may need to restore.

Yes, however if you go into settings - accounts - iCloud - one home screen prior to doing it then all apps will reappear after the restore, once signed in
