In Contacts, why can't I see an entire longer text string under a contact's Notes?

In the past I have entered long notes after certain contacts. I could always see the entire Note when opening to that contact.

Now, after upgrading to High Sierra, I can only see two lines of text in a note.

How can I access an entire contact note and be able to edit it, as well?
