Why does it take forever to charge an iPhone X?

I have the iPhone X 256GB and have the latest software update with iOS 11. Haven’t even used 60GB yet. The iPhone is taking forever to charge and doesn’t get over 83%-85%. Using a 12V charger off the wall. Still takes forever. Tried the charging cable that came with the iPhone X initially but after charging all night and not getting more than 80% charge I switched to the faster 12v charger but no luck. I’ve sync’d my iPhone to my iTunes and copied 2900 songs to the iPhone. I have 6000 photos but they’re in the cloud. Why won’t this iPhone charge properly. Had no problem with my iPhone 6+. Any ideas??? HELP!! Please?
