Frame drops on live photo capture and playback

Hello. Whenever the Live Photo is triggered, there's some notable frame drops that happen after a second. Hence it occurs on the 2nd second, as a live photo is 3 seconds. The first and last seconds were as expected. This doesn't happen every time, but majority of the time it does. The frame drops can be seen during capture and as expected, on playback.

On iOS 11.1 there was a mention of "Address an issue that could cause Live Photo effects to playback slowly" and on iOS 11.1.2 there was a mention of "Addresses an issue that could cause distortion in Live Photos and videos captured with iPhone X".

Is it verified that these issues were fully resolved? I am using an iPhone 8 (not Plus, not X), and I see this issue.
