Reading Mail, iCal, AddressBook info on different OS version

My old 10.4.11 G5 Desktop has just ceased to function. Went into a freeze with the fans just getting faster and faster - eventually I did a hard restart. Now the fans fire up at startup, but no startup sound and no signal to screen.

I was using it for organisational stuff - Mail, iCal, AddressBook - and in the interim till deciding what to do (repair, replace 2nd-hand, move that stuff to my MacBook) I've been trying to access my calendar and mail stuff on my MBP.

Problem is, my MBP won't run the versions of Mail, iCal and Address Book that are on my backup drives, those being the Tiger versions. And obviously I can't at the moment export from my Tiger machine.

Is there any way I can access the data from these apps on my MBP - which is Intel running 10.6.8 ?
