Bluetooth drops connection after installing High Sierra

There are a number of posts on line about loss of Bluetooth connection after upgrading to High Sierra. What I am unable to find is any coherent response from Apple as to what anybody should do about it, apart from reinstalling an older operating system, which is complicated and could result in lost data. Is anybody working on a fix for this problem ?
