iTunes is skipping music tracks on Apple Music albums

Recently iTunes (only on my iMac) has started skipping entire albums from Apple Music – it plays my previously purchased albums fine. When I try to play an Apple Music album, it starts to load a song like normal, but then skips to the next song without playing a single note. Within a matter of seconds, the album is finished "playing" without hearing any songs at all.


I've restarted the computer, started up iTunes while holding down OPTION (to clear the preferences), etc. but no luck. I've made sure I was signed into the cloud (double checked) also.


Any suggestions?


Running Sierra (OS 10.13.1) and latest iTunes update (12.7.2)

Had the same problem. Sign out of Apple Music - restart iTunes - sign back in. Worked for me.
