how long should I charge a new battery on a macbook air?

I have just had a new battery installed in my Macbook Air, how long do I need to charge it for the first time, I got told 24 hours, is this correct?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

There is no requirement to charge for any specified time.

You can charge at any time, for any amount of time.

You can use the computer while charging.

Charging stops when the battery reaches 100%

Do not deplete the battery to low levels.
