How do I disable the password requirement for shutting down my MacBook Pro? I am not concerned about losing any content when shutting down.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2016), iOS 11.2

I understand that you'd like to disable the requirement to enter a password when shutting down, and I'm happy to help. The way to prevent this behavior would be to log out of any other users that may be logged in when shutting down. This behavior is explained in this support article:
