Why am I still getting calls and texts from a blocked number?

I recently had to block a number, but for some reason I’m still getting calls and texts from it. The other person doesn’t have an iPhone (I do), so I know that’s not the problem, and it is coming from the number I blocked, so she’s not trying some kind of workaround. Help?
