2017 GMC Sierra CarPlay not working when plugging into usb

I have followed all steps online through Apple and through other people having isssues and or related issues. I still can not get my CarPlay to work as it did before I updated IOS 11. Has anyone figured out if there’s a new update or new information on a fix?
