How do I fix my Finder that's opening folder content very slowly on an iMac?

I have an iMac and just upgraded my OSX hoping it would help the problem. My startup seems slow and now finder is VERY slow to show content in the folders I try to open. And my Creative Cloud keeps crashing requiring frequent repair. Hoping someone can help.

My iMac is a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 bought in 2010
