There are black pixels on my screen. What should I do?

This morning I woke up to find that there were three small streaks of dead pixels on the screen of my iPod Nano. At first I thought it wasn't a big deal, because I could still see everything clearly. However, when I turned it on a few hours later, they had gotten worse. There are now multiple streaks of black pixels. Is this something I need to send my iPod in for a repair for, or can I fix it myself? Should I perhaps just leave it? I thought that because it got worse so quickly, I should check to see what I need to do about it.
