What 'password' are you referring to? If you mean the lock screen passcode, changing it on one device does NOT change it on any other devices. If you want the passcode on your iPad to be the same as your iPhone, then open up Settings on your iPad and change it.

You're welcome; glad it's fixed. This process of changing passwords or Apple IDs is more complicated than it should be.
