Password suddenly required after update

Suddenly after updating to 10.13.1- High Sierra - when iMac sleeps it now asks for a password - I have never set this up at start up, awake or anything else. When I go to system preferences everything matches what is set on my MacBook air - I can't seem to figure out how to turn off log in at start up or wake up.......help

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), macOS Sierra (10.12.1)

Run System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General, then disable the option: Require password after sleep or screen saver begins.
