text notifications on iPhone & iWatch

I have an iP7, and just got an Apple Watch.

I've noticed when I now receive texts my wrist shakes, yet the iPhone no longer audibly alerts me. How can I have the iPhone continue to deliver an audible alert that a text messages is waiting for me to respond?

Oh, and please don't suggest iPhone/ Apple Watch App/ My Watch/ Messages/"Mirror my iPhone" because that doesn't work.
