Not receiving notifications from only one contact

Hi everyone. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and recently I have not been notified at all if only one contact sends me a text. The convo is not on do not disturb and I have made sure the alerts are not hidden. The messages do not even show up on my lock screen, there is no alert symbol on the messaging app showing an unread message, and it doesn’t even say I have an unread message when I go into my texts. I have to actually click on our conversation to see what they said back. Please help!

Do you see a crescent moon next to this persons text? If you do, you have turned off notifications for this person only. Go to contacts and pull this person up and go to the bottom of the page and turn notifications on for this contact.

No moon. I feel like I’ve tried everything. The convo is definitely not on do not disturb.

Maybe delete the contact and then reenter the contact and see if that does anything.
