Success! I was using a 25’ hdmi cord when I was only getting audio. I tried a 5’ one and it worked. I went back to the long one and still just got audio. Can’t explain it since the longer cord worked perfectly with YouTube and my U-verse. Weird.
Netflix blocks doing that.

is what netflix require support for which your cable or tv does not comply with
I’m able to use my lightening cable to connect to a TV and watch YouTube and use my U-verse app. When I try to watch Netflix I get a message on my iPhone that it’s on my TV but actually all I get is a momentary flash of my show and then just audio. T
