How to change Lock screen language

The past threee days, I have both English and Chinese or Japanese words on my iPhone lock screen. I checked language in settings and I only have English selected.

I figured it out. In Settings, I finally went to calendar and I had Chinese checked as an alternate calendar. It had to happen some time when it opened up in my pocket for no apparent reason. But it is resolved and I am happy it is no longer there. Thank you for your suggestions. I thought I had tried everything.
