My iPhone 8 (iOS 11.2) connects to my Oontz Angle bluetooth speaker (properly charged), but it is like the connection keeps dropping. I hear only fragments of the song. The speaker works perfectly when connected to my MacBook and to my old iPhone 6s. I have tried a hard reboot and a reset of the phone, but the problem persists. Also, my wife's iPhone 8 has the same issue. Connects to the speaker but continual dropping of sound. Any thoughts?

Quick update. While at a store today, both my wife and I successfully paired and played music through a bluetooth speaker there. So appears not to be an iPhone issue.
Every once-in-a-while the music comes through the speaker, but it sounds like a really bad, garbled connection. My iphone continues to play, but there is no sound.
Perhaps because the speaker is a few years old? But odd that all the other devices work, just not the iPhone 8.
I have the same speaker and also iPhone 8 with the same issue. Seems like the Bluetooth on the speaker is old and iPhone doesn’t support it.
When I use my OnePlus to connect to the speaker it works without any issues.
Same issues here. We have a new iphone 8 that doesn't play music properly on hdmx flow speaker, garbled and choppy, and plays perfectly with the iphone 6.... hoping apple comes up with a software update so we don't have to try a new speaker...
If your speaker is a few years old it will be using an older version of Bluetooth
That could be part of your problem?

Thanks for replying. I guess it is time to look for a new speaker.
Also the weird thing is the speaker works fine on Bluetooth on my Apple Watch 3 cellular edition. Only iPhone is making this problematic.
