Sony cameras and Location Linkage via Blutooth

I have an iPhone 8 (and previously and IPhone 6 with the same problem), and 2 new Sony Cameras:- DSC-RX10M4 and ILCE-A7M3.

Both have the ablility to capture GPS location info from a paired phone, in conjuction with use of the PlayMemories mobile App.

I cannot reliably connect each and every time to my iPhone. It is frustrating beyond belief.

I have contacted Sony, and been given a case number, for a "...known problem with Apple devices, and what Apple allows third party apps to do."

Sony's suggestion was to use Android-the problem will go away.

REALLY Apple? Can you please work with Sony to get this working... I might have to get a Samsung.
