One air pod keeps dropping off... sometimes left and sometimes right. Is there a fix for this issue...??

I've hardly used my air pods but today when I used them one or other would keep dropping off i.e. stopped playing sound. It was mostly the left one but then the right one occasionally does it too.

Then I started hearing a bloop, bloop, bloop sound all the time, no matter what was playing. What is going on here?

These little devices are great when they're going properly but for a reasonably expensive little item, they should work better than this.
