Nike Run Club iPhone app and Apple Watch 3 aren’t getting along

I start my runs with the NRC app on my iPhone. The way things used to work, I could then look down at my watch and it would sync up with the phone and I could follow my efforts with a quick view of my wrist. Yeah, not so much anymore. Now, no syncing, no starting, no anything. I tried pairing the watch again but no dice. Am I missing something?
