If you place your hand on the top of the AirPort, does it seem warmer than normal? The usual cause of this is a clogged internal cooling fan. If the AirPort is less than a year old, ask Apple to replace the device.
If you have AppleCare in effect on one of your Macs, the AirPort is usually covered under the AppleCare umbrella for a few more years. Get with Apple Support for details.
If the AirPort is out of warranty and you don't have AppleCare, your next option is to open up the AirPort and clean out the fan. Better yet, replace the fan. The article linked below will provide some tips on taking the AirPort apart.
