Samsung SSD 850 PRO on Mac mini late 2014

Hi everybody.

I got a Mac mini late 2014 with a 1TB hard Disk. I want to change it with a Samsung SSD 850 PRO Saga III 2,5'. Can I do it? Is the new SSD HD compatible with my computer?

Thank you

I have upgraded 6 different Mac Mini's (3 for myself and 3 for friends) using the PNY CS1311 SSDs.

I pick them up at Best Buy when they are on sale, but you can also find them for less.

FWIW 2 of the 6 PNY SSDs have been in service for over 3 years and I have not had a single issue with any of them.

FWIW, I have the following SSDs in my Macs and all are performing

quite well:

2010 MacMini - Toshiba Q-series Pro 240GB

2011 MacMini Server - Kingston SSD-Now V-300 240 GB

Early 2011 MacBook Pro - Sandisk Ultra II 480 GB

Late 2013 27" iMac - Sandisk Ultra II 980 GB

They should be available globally. Though not the "ultimate speed demons",

they are still a whole lot faster than any HDD.

BTW, all of them are working quite well with High Sierra and APFS.
