Does my iPhone battery need replacing?

I just bought an iPhone 6s that has been stored in a drawer unused for about a year. I just did a software update and it dropped from 63% to 35% after it was done. I restarted the phone and it had dropped down to 1%.

I’m charging it now and it is charging very fast - 1% to 40% in about 15 minutes.

Does this battery sound like it needs replacing?

I’ll add that the phone got pretty hot while it was downloading the update but I’m not sure if that’s battery related or just because it was downloading a large file

Hi

I have the same problem for the last 3 days my battery was replaced 12 months

Ago because of this problem.

Downloaded battery life from apps store only have 6% battery wear.

Wait for next update?

Use the phone normally for a day or two and if these issues continue make an appointment at the Genius Bar or an authorized service provider to have the battery, charger and phone evaluated.
