shutdown screen on iMac

Hi,

and it is difficult to know if the iMac shutdown. If it is no noise in near of imac it is possible to hear the hd shutingdown.

There is a way to change the screen color? Or add a messege as shutingdown and when the process it is finished the message vanish?
