Issue with iCloud devices

I recently had to change my Apple ID password to deal with a possible security issue, and now it seems like my MacBook has been unable to reconnect to iCloud properly. In the my devices view on both the Apple website and on my iPhone and Mac, the MacBook is listed as a generic Mac, rather than a specific model and name as they normally are.

Has anyone come across this before, and know of anyway to fix this? I have tried signing out of iCloud, making sure it is disconnected then signing back in, however it didn't help.

Thanks in advance!

Okay, so I talked with Apple support, and aside from signing out of iCloud, and then signing back in, and wiping the computer and setting it up again, (both of which I did) they had no suggestions.

They did mention that it might work if I took it into an Apple store, and used the stronger wifi/ethernet there, however there is no guarantee that will work.I will try it at some point soon, and will update this if it works.
