numbers for Mac
can't open saved documents in numbers. Got index.xml file missing message. What is it?

Make sure you are using a later version of Numbers to open the document. It is likely that you two versions of Numbers installed. The older version (Numbers 2.x) can't open documents created or edited in later versions of Numbers (3.x or 4.x). One way to make sure is to go to Numbers > About Numbers in your menu and check the version number. If it's the later version then use File > Open in your menu to open the document (as opposed to double-clicking it in Finder).
