Sorry to bring this up again, but I was curious to know if anything had changed since the last question on this was from a few years ago. Has there been any changes, or can we still not change our usernames?

Yes and no.
No, you still cannot change your own username
Yes, the policy of the Hosts doing it for you has been somewhat relaxed
We fondly refer to this thread as the Change Forum Username FORUM
We simply report each request for consideration to the Hosts on a case by case basis

You still can't change your username, only the hosts can potentially do so (and then generally only for specific reasons e.g. privacy)
