Mac mini 2017 high sierra 10.13.2 = unusable

I've update the mac mini now I cannot do anything anymore, everything freezes after a few minutes.

The main thing I notice is that the network crashes. Everything was working perfectly until the high sierra roll out.

I have to force quit everything to restart. Once I restart, I can only do a few things before it gets off the network and everything crashes.... Any body else?

It's not a highjacking, just a request for clarification.

I will still run the safe mode but I don't see why it would do anything... brb.

Try following the advice given by John Galt instead of biting the hand that feeds you.

Safe Mode is not all about hardware, it includes software too. The most likely cause of your issue.

So it did not detect anything. Lost the report while trying to connect to my network to save it.

So it seems it is 100% related to "windows server" since all I do with this mac is a little bit of compile from remote folders, which was working 100% prior to high sierra.

I can reach my network folders on my windows network from the mac, but staying connected will crash mac mini after a few minutes. I try to eject the connection to the remote computer but it just crashes. All of my issues happen after a few minutes the mac mini hits the network.

Sometimes it's not completely crashed so I try to disconnect the shared drive then reconnect but then it goes "can't be opened because the original item can't be found".

After that my only remedy is to hard reboot the mac or I get the balloon. Nothing else does it.

So yeah I believe mac mini + high sierra + share on windows network = the issue.

Thanks for your reply. It's actually not bound to AD. It's a simple share on a local network.

Now I'm doing another test. I turned off wifi and hard wired the mac mini.

I've just launched a compile task over a network drive (as usual) and it seems to be ok now.

I will post back in a few minutes if it fixes the issue...
