Why can't I see what is on my USB memory stick?

I've been using a memory stick to transfer work between my MacBook Pro and a Windows computer at uni but I have a problem. I think I've created a partition by mistake because I now can't see the work I've transferred from windows on my MacBook.

Is there any way to retrieve this work just using my MacBook or will I need to use a windows computer instead?
