Why will my iPad and iPhone not find my airdrop printer but visitors can. Been through usual resets but no joy.

iPad Pro and iPhone 6 Plus can not find my airdrop printer. Other family members can find it when visiting.

Greetings widchapper,

I see that your iPad Pro and iPhone 6 Plus can't find your printer when trying to AirPrint. It's important to make sure that you can print from your devices, so I'll be happy to provide some help.

I suggest trying the steps in this support article: If you can‘t print from your Mac or iOS device , specifically:

If your printer is AirPrint-enabled

If your printer is AirPrint-enabled for printing from your Mac or iOS device, just make sure that it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network used by the Mac or iOS device.1

If you still can't print, try any of these solutions:

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router. Then restart your printer.
  • Move your printer closer to your Wi-Fi router.
  • Update your printer and Wi-Fi router with the latest firmware from the manufacturer.2
  • Update the software for your Mac or iOS device.

You can skip any of the steps that you've already tried. Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers.
