Combining a "lived cued" and a recorded Keynote presentation

Please tell me how to seamlessly combine a live-cued Keynote with a recorded-cue Keynote, the latter one being auto-synched to attached music files. Is this possible to do with Keynote? If so, please tell me how to do it. Thank you.

If you are talking about a Normal Presentation (Inspector > Document > Document > Presentation Type: Normal)

pressing the space bar to advance, and a recorded presentation (Play > Record Slideshow) which will advance automatically, then a new combined slideshow can't be a recorded and normal at the same time, its either one or the other.

Therefor you will need to merge the slides then re-record as follows:

  • add the slides from the recorded slide show to the normal presentation - select all the slides in the Navigator (command A)
  • drag and drop the slides from Recorded to Normal presentation Navigator
  • clear the recording - Play > Clear Recording
  • re-arange the slides as will be now required in the combined presentation by drag and drop in the Navigator
  • record the slideshow from slide 1 with the new timings
