Using Mediacom email on MacBook Air

Using Mediacom email on MacBook Air

I have successfully set up Mediacom email on my iPad (old one) and my iPhone, but on my MacBook Air it is always saying that it cannot connect to the server, then it somehow eventually connects. Can anyone help me?

MacBook Air, iOS 10.2.1

As a MacBook cannot run iOS, what version of MacOS are you actually running?
