I recently did the software update on both my iPhone 7 and my iPad to iOS 11.2.
Now, it seems my Hot Spot from my iPhone is no longer connecting via Wi-Fi.
I've tried it via Bluetooth and it does work that way ---- however, i need it to work via Wi-Fi.
Still it will not connect.
Any suggestions?

Is the Personal Hotspot on the phone indicating it is enabled?
Is Cellular data toggled on in Settings on the phone?
If so, on the device that is trying to connect, identify the Personal Hotspot connection and delete it and turn the device off.
On the phone then rename the Personal Hotspot (change the name of the phone) and then turn the device on and try connecting again.

I ended up having to reset my network connection on the iPad. That fixed it.

Hotspot services are run by your network provider Not Apple contact them.
You may need a carrier / simcard update.
