Multiple monitor setup with MacBook Pro issue

I have 2 Dell monitors connected to my laptop and have assigned apps to specific displays by right clicking the app in the dock and going to options. I find when I reboot the computer or disconnect the laptop and reconnect, the display assignment gets all messed up and I have to do it again.

Any ideas on how to make this stick?
