File export from FCP X failing with error -12792 during the transcoding process?

I'm trying to export a file from FCP X and it is failing in the transcoding process with error -12792

Why? Where can I find details about this error?

What version of FCP X and OS? How big is the file? How much drive space?

Try marking a range and export. Does that work?

FCP X 10.3.4

OSX 10.12.6

It's about a 20 minute clip so the file as a .mov will probably be 40-50Gb

Free drive space 460Gb

Always fails during transcoding - not writing out the file.

Place the playhead about the middle of your timeline, press O to set an out point, and share.

That would export roughly the first half. Does it fail?

What about the second half?
