i cant use Logic 9 with the new OS upgrade. do I have to buy logic X or why can't i get i uppgrade on logic 9 or they give me logic X

Apple's forced upgrade path. What's more important, a working Logic 9 or have the latest "greatest" operating system. What is there in in the latest High Sierra that you absolutely need.
