I have iPhone 7 128 GB and the current iOS version is 11.2.1. This phone was shipped last week and I found this issue the day after I got the phone.
I think my iPhone has a technical problem in it's sound hardware.
- First, when I record videos, some crackling sound is recorded together.
- Second, when I record videos, there are some mute moment in the video.
- Third, when I call someone, the ringing sound before a receiver gets the phone call is so small. Additionally, the receiver's voice is clear but it is too small although I made the volume maximized.
I tried restarting my iphone, turning off Bluetooth, recording my voice and listening to it again through the voice memo app. All things did not work.

If you have not updated to iOS 11.2 try that and see if it helps.

If not, make an appointment at the Genius Bar or an authorized service provider to have the phone evaluated. A brand new phone should not exhibit these issues.
